I believe they put out folding chairs, so you have the option to sit in a folding chair or use your wheelchair as a seat. Obviously not the most comfortable option, but you'll have a seat. Can't really comment on the post above which mentioned TV monitors in the way of the game, I've never really had a problem with the TV monitors at MSG. Might be best to call Ticketmaster and ask them if you could move to a similar section, as you didn't know it was WC seating. I've sat in 203 and 205 and both were fine.Similar to a lot of your standard Midtown italian restaurants. Simple, if occasionally bland, entrees. The same entrees that are at every other run of the mill italian restaurant in order to please the out of towners and the large business crowds dining on a discount. For a business function it's fine, a bit boring, but serves its purpose. Not a place I'd necessarily ever go on a date.

    Thanks.

Unfortunately, I didn't pick the location. I'll be going to my usual italian place the following evening.

Thanks for the info. We're only worried about missing the event and losing our money so if we can use the tickets even though we're not disabled we don't care what kind of chairs we have :). There are no side-by-side seats available to that game anymore so we can't change them...
  4. Good morning all!

As I don't have Tickets for the Rangers Game today, we'd like to watch IT in a sportsbar.

Any idea for us where to watch the game and eat something for a reasonable price?

    Thank you guys!

I can add it when the site is being less weird...
  7. Suprema is a divine choice for a pre-Rangers game slice.

Okay, so I live here now... now what?

WOO HOO...received our tickets to the Easter Sunday game with the Penguins. I cannot wait until I see my first Ranger game in 40+ years of being a fan . I sure hope it is a game where we can eliminate the pens from the playoffs.

    This winter has been sick.

Walking around the city in December without a jacket and more than a little warm because I'm in a hoody.

  11. Ha, I mentioned that while I was in NYC from 1st - 9th DEC as well :D

Was really sick to not even had to use any gloves or something else...

And now it's looking like 70 degrees for Christmas Eve and the 60s for Christmas Day.

Not that I'm complaining, but it is a little weird.

  13. Yes, we'Re having around 55 degrees here in Germany as well.
Much much too warm. But : Good for my costs regarding the heating :D

    Viewing parties?

I´m staying in NYC for a whole week starting tomorrow.
Any suggestions on where to watch the game @Preds on 28th and @Bolts on 30th (except in Nashville and Tampa of course)?

The Flying Puck! Caught one game there when we were over in November. Couple of blocks south of the main entrance of MSG.
It gets crowded fast, so come early. At least if you plan to eat. We came 75 minutes before puck drop and there were two seats available, by pure luck. (Stepan's grandparents or parents had the seats before us, but left since it was a home game. The other couple on the table was all amped up ) Since both games are away I reckon it does not get less crowded either, since no one is leaving for the game.

The bars around MSG generally do not get very crowded if there is nothing going on at the arena. For a road game, likely won't be that crowded.

Thanks for correcting me :) Guess that's what happens when I have a one game sample size of experience.
  19. Anyone have any good furniture places that deliver to NYC apartments? Preferably at a scheduled time?

I need a TV stand, and perhaps a small area rug. I'd use Bobs, but the cheapest TV stand they have is $200... Ikea has cheap ****, but they want to charge me $130 for shipping! Which is wildly outrageous.

    :(

Amazon Prime is your friend in NYC, I'd strongly consider it. It's $100/year, but after a couple free deliveries it will pay for itself. I got a couple area rugs and lamps on there, sure you could find a TV stand as well.
  21. Can you specify a certain day for delivery with Prime?

If it gets delivered to my apartment when I'm not there, I don't expect to ever get it

  22. You could have it shipped to an Amazon Locker and you have three days to pick it up.
  23. Yeah, you can ship to a 7-11 or post office and they'll give you an unlock passcode. Amazon prime also has same day delivery in manhattan

So what does the new Penn Station plan mean for MSG? The only thing I came across is that they may have to get rid of the theater at MSG, but I'm assuming that with such a large project there will also be changes to the concourse, entrances, etc.
